32Red Sport Review

With a number of awards behind them, 32Red are one of the most popular casino sites on the net and for many players, they are the first port of call when setting up a new account. For that reason alone, it seemed like a good idea to test them out but there is also £10.00 of free play which was an added bonus.

So what did we find when opening a new account?

• Final step is to choose your username and a password and naturally these will be your login details. If you’re familiar with sign ups at any online casino or sportsbook, this is very typical of what you will find and the whole process is quick and easy.

Within three minutes I was a 32Red account holder and ready to play.

Under the terms of the free play promotion, 32Red promise that you will be asked if you would like your £10.00 bonus once you have completed sign up. And, as you can see from the screenshot, they did exactly what they said they would.

From this point however it was a little tricky to get the tenner into my account. At sign up, I had been asked to provide my telephone number and in order to claim the bonus, 32Red would send me an SMS with a code that I would need to input.

The screen then defaulted to show my phone number but when I clicked to request the code, it said it was invalid. The issue was with the +44 for UK numbers which I had to remove and after getting the right format, I finally had the code sent through to my phone. After inputting, I got the confirmation.

Before moving on, I should point out that terms and conditions of the bonus are clearly shown. Naturally there is lots to take in and the rollover requirement may be an issue for some but essentially, free play of this kind is just used to test out the casino and any profits are a nice bonus.

There’s a great choice of slots, poker, roulette and other card and table games here and although the rollover can be reached via different methods, it seems that you can use the bonus to play anywhere. I started with a personal favourite – roulette.

This is one area where I felt I might have needed a little more: You’ll recall the issue with validating my phone number earlier and when it was flagged up I was prompted to go to the help centre. Here I was met with a long list of FAQs.

Needless to say, my query here was a bit of an odd one and it wasn’t covered by the list. Furthermore, I couldn’t find any links away from this page to other areas where I could have got in touch with the casino.

There is a button at the bottom of the home page marked 24 / 7 support but this only provided a snail mail address and a link to those same Frequently Asked Questions. This was a surprisingly low set of options and could certainly dissuade some players.

Conclusion

The positives certainly outweigh any downsides at 32Red and there were lots of good things going on that are likely to see me hanging around for some time. The sign up process is very quick and although I had that small issue with SMS verification, the free play money was in my account in less than 10 minutes.

The choice of games will really set 32Red apart from a lot of their competitors and you’ll never be short of something to play here. There’s a long list of funding options too and some great ongoing promos for those who use up their free play and decide to stick around.

The only real downside is with customer service and a surprisingly poor set of options. If, however, you’re one of those players who can just carry on with no need for regular assistance then this is definitely a great place to be.

Essentially it’s a very quick process and I was up and playing on the roulette table in a matter of minutes. From here, I was then able to access their current sports promotion which is an interesting one and perfect for anyone who enjoys in-play betting.

The promotion is certainly very clearly displayed. You can’t miss it as you get on to the 32Red sport home page and it’s easy to navigate to the terms via the button marked ‘Find out More’.

As you can see after reading through these terms, the promo is a little complicated. It is a price boost and it can range from 10% to 100% depending on the odds that you take when you make your bet. For example, if you stake in play at 2/1 then you can claim the maximum amount allowed and get a 100% boost on any winnings.

With this there is a chance to make higher stakes but for the purpose of testing this offer, I went for the option that gives you a 100% boost on a maximum £10.00 stake.

Funding

Before being able to take advantage of this offer I had to head to the funding page. I had an account from the casino sign up but had only used the free play option at this point so needed to get some real money available.

The deposit button is clearly shown in green at the top right of the page.

Click on this and you will get a second window and this shows you all the options you have. There are plenty of ways to fund at 32Red and this is certainly a very positive side of the operation.

The links from here all contain very sensitive information but I can tell you that all steps are very simple and logical and the whole process took less than two minutes. Within that period, I was ready to place my in-play bet.

This was a quiet Monday afternoon but you can generally find some tennis on at all times of the year so you do have a few options whenever you log on. The important thing to remember with this part of the price boost deal is that your bet must be placed at Evens or higher so I didn’t have a great deal to choose at this point but for the purposes of this test I took a punt on the one quoted football match.

From this point, things look very familiar: First you get your bet outlined before you hit the submit button.

And then if you’re happy, click the button and you get a receipt.

The good point is that live bets are easy to find and if I’d backed in a busier time, there would have been lots of choice.

Customer Service

When using the casino I’d been a little critical of the help options at 32Red and to be honest, most players would hope for more than just a set of Frequently Asked Questions. I thought however, that I should at least test it with something very basic so I looked for information about deposits.

The information regarding deposits and withdrawals is shown as the second category down on the home page so this was a good start.

So from here you get this from a random question that I chose. It answers things OK but overall the FAQs are just a little too basic and the customer support remains one of the more disappointing areas of the 32Red website.

Conclusion

The positive part of this offer is that it is quick and very easy to use. We’ve already seen that the 32Red sign up process is a quick one and funding proved to be fast here too. Once I had cleared the funds, it was also very easy to find the live bet section and make my selection.

With live betting, it can sometimes be hard to find any real value and you’re having to bet at Even Money or higher here so it’s a bit of a long ‘punt’ and that might deter some people but if the bet lands, 100% is a good healthy boost.

Overall, if you like in-play betting then it’s a good offer at a sportsbook that has plenty for both serious and recreational punters.
